Law Enforcement Chaplains

Many are unaware of the many duties performed by the LE Chaplain. They should not be confused with Hospital ChaplainsThe role of the Law Enforcement Chaplain is to be the “balance” providing support for the first responder including, but not limited to the police officer, the 911 dispatcher, emergency medical technicians (EMT) and their families. In their time of need, LE Chaplains provide appropriate assistance, advice, comfort, council and referrals to those who may request support. A Law Enforcement Chaplain must have a passionate interest and specialized training in pastoral care. It is critical that the Chaplain has an understanding of the dangerous world of law enforcement.
